Dedicated to the memory of Chris Standen

Following the tragic loss of Chris his family would like to give the opportunity for his loved ones to make a donation in his memory. Chris loved children; they gravitated to him, and he had been recently affected by cancer following a close family member’s diagnosis in May 2014.
Chris also admired the strength shown by Max Rowlandson, who he knew as a family friend and via Saffron Walden golf club. Max was treated on C2 and his family continue to raise funds following the completion of his treatment.

About the ward:
We are the regional centre for children aged from birth to 16 years who have cancer (oncology) and blood disorders (haematology), caring for children receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We are also the medical ward for children aged 3 to 16 years from the Cambridge area.

The ward consists of 17 beds divided into six cubicles, two double rooms, one triple room and a four-bed bay. These beds/rooms are allocated according to medical need. Thank you x
